Dominique focuses on commercial law with a specific emphasis on corporate law, insolvency law and banking law.
He has been a senior counsel since 2010 and member of the West Flanders Bar since 2007, having previously practised law in Ghent.
Dominique obtained his law degree at Universiteit Gent in 1995, and his Ph.D. at KU Leuven in 2004. The subject of his thesis was action by shareholders to claim for indirect damages.
He regularly publishes in legal journals and also serves as a guest lecturer at the KU Leuven Brussels Campus. With Anouk Vantomme as co-author he wrote the reference book De geschillenregeling in de BV en de NV (436 p.) that was published in 2024 by die Keure. In 2018 he was the co-author of a book on the new insolvency law (Boek XX. Een commentaar bij het nieuwe insolventierecht, Brugge, die Keure, 402 p.).
Dominique handles cases in Dutch, English and French and has some knowledge of German.
