Jean-Marc focuses primarily on financial law (banks, insurance, financial institutions) and company law.
Jean-Marc has been a Senior Counsel at Eubelius since January 2009. He became a member of the Brussels Bar in 1987.
He holds a degree in law from the University of Brussels (ULB, 1986) and in 1987 he obtained a Master degree in Economic Law from the same university.
Between 2000 and 2008 he interrupted his career in law to work as an adviser for the CBFA (Banking, Finance and Insurance Commission), initially in the public offers department, and later in the legal department, where his work included controlling insurance companies. As of 1 January 2009, he returned to membership of the Brussels Bar.
Jean-Marc is a guest lecturer at the Louvain School of Management (UCL) and a member of CRIDES. He is also a member of the editorial committee of Commentaire systématique du Code des sociétés (Kluwer).
He has published several works relating to company law as well as Belgian and international financial law.
