Gilles advises both public and (Belgian or European) private entities regarding commercial and consumer law. He assists SMEs as well as listed companies in French and Dutch-language litigation proceedings of various kinds.
Gilles particularly specialises in

market practices and consumer protection (including cease and desist proceedings)

inspections and enforcement proceedings by public services (i.a. the FPS Health and Economy), and
-
commercial contracts (specifically with trade intermediaries such as distributors and agents).
He is involved in contributions for the Market Practices Yearbook.
Gilles studied at Istanbul Bilgi University, and obtained a master’s degree in law at the University of Ghent in 2014 as well as an LL.M. in economic law at the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) in 2015. He has also obtained a third master’s degree at the ICHEC-ESSF Brussels Management School.
He handles cases in Dutch, in French and in English.
