On 18 April 2024, the Chamber has approved a comprehensive legislative package, marking a crucial step towards the 10-year lifetime extension of nuclear power plants Doel 4 en Tihange 3. The vote follows the agreements signed between the Belgian government and Engie/Electrabel on 13 December 2023.
Eubelius has assisted (and is still assisting) the Belgian government at the highest level throughout this highly complex and exceptionally impactful transaction. The deal required an unparalleled interdisciplinary effort, involving our teams active in energy, corporate and M&A, state-owned enterprises, banking & finance, competition, public & administrative, real estate and tax among others.
